Cleansing Oneself of Sins through Japa......तत्वशोधनं

One of the foremost questions that arises in a seeker's mind is...

Is it possible to wipe out one's sins ??

Or for that matter

Is it possible to wipe out sins of one's Past Karma ???

YES..... most of it
but not 
Praarabhda  प्रारब्ध Karma 
cause for one's present birth
which may be wiped off 
ONLY through the blessings of
Lord Siva

Kindly note ..... whenever a Japa/Yagna is performed..... a portion of Punya accrues to Prajapati Brahma,

.... a portion to Indra .... and the remaining part to the seeker provided Samarpanam is done as

per Shashtras ELSE this too may accrue to Indra....

देहं may be equated with Element
for the purposes of this discussion

स्थूल  देहं ... associated with Soul आत्मा
 dirt of sins sticks to Atma making it impure
and may be cleansed through
Mantra Diksha from a guru
who has obtained Mantra Siddhi
OR through repeated recitation of the Mantra
which may run into lakhs or even crores.
depending on one's spiritual advancement
spread over several births

सूक्ष्म  देहं ... associated with Inner Soul अन्तर आत्मा
effects of Maya make it impure
and may be cleansed through Knowledge विद्या

कारण  देहं ... cause for this birth
on account of good as well as evil deeds
balance of Karma प्रारब्ध 
may be cleansed 
ONLY through the Blessings of Lord Siva

अभिमान  देहं ... ego/pride due to
knowledge, speech, looks/appearance
and natural causes
may be cleansed 
 through knowledge  ज्ञाना of the  
परब्रह्म

विद्यातत्वेन मायिकमल शोधनार्थं 

सूक्ष्मदेहं परिशोधयामि जुहोमि स्वाहा |

अन्तरात्मा  मे शुध्यन्तां  

ज्योतिरहं विरजा विपाप्मा भूयासं स्वाहा||

ॐ ऐं ह्रीं श्रीं 

सकलह्रीं
(3rd part of Panchadasakshari) 

शिवतत्वेन कार्मिकमल शोधनार्थं 

कारणदेहं परिशोधयामि जुहोमि स्वाहा |

परमात्मा मे शुध्यन्तां  

ज्योतिरहं विरजा विपाप्मा भूयासं स्वाहा||

ॐ ऐं ह्रीं श्रीं - मूलं | 

प्रक्रित्यहङ्कार - बुद्धिमन - स्त्वाक् - चक्षु - श्रोत्र - जिव्हाघ्राण - वाक्पाणि -

पाद - पायूपस्थ - शब्दस्पर्श -रूपरसगन्धाकाश - वायु - वन्हि - सलिल - भूमि , 

मायाकलाSविद्या - राग - काल - नियति - पुरुष,  

शिवशक्ति - सदाशिवेश्वर शुद्धविद्यात्मना

अं + क्षं (अं आं इं ईं उं ऊं ..... क्षं)

मूलं - सर्वतत्वेन  सर्वदेहं सर्वदेहाभिमनिनं 

जीवात्मानं परिशोधयामि जुहोमि स्वाहा |

ज्ञानात्मा मे शुध्यन्तां  

ज्योतिरहं विरजा विपाप्मा भूयासं स्वाहा||

स्वाधिष्ठान चैतन्य-रूपी

(light burning @ Swadhisthana ......BRAHMA) is me. 

I am that brightest light BRAHMA.
I am Brahma

As Brahma, I offer myself at the altar

चिदग्नि होम (Yagna in my mind).

Let this purification be performed well.
