Om Namo Bhagavathe Sivanandaya
Om Sri Ganeshaya Namaha
Om Sri Sharavanabhava, Sharavanabhava, Sharavanabhava
Om Sri Chidananda Saraswtiye Namaha
In this Kali Yuga, Japa is the surest means to Self Realization which in turn paves the way for one to attain Moksha ..... release from the cycle of re-births. Scriptures say there are 84,00,000 kinds of births and it is only after passing through all these, one gets birth as a human .....
We are all lucky
to be born humans
And lucky again ???
to be here in this ..... dreaded Kali Yuga
Lucky to be born humans .... Yes ... but to be born in Kali Yuga ... when life is supposed to get more & more difficult with each passing day ... how can one consider oneself lucky ?
Consider it this way..... during Krita, Tretha & Dwaapar Yugas ..... life spans were much longer see this link for details and arduous penance was the only means to Self Realization. It is only during this Kali Yuga ..... doing Japa alone... one can attain the Lotus Feet of the Lord.
Sages ... in the earlier Yugas .... undertook arduous penance Tapas ... in order to realize HIM. In the process, they also realized the methods to seek HIS manifestation in sound, light and other forms. We can consider ourselves lucky .... in the sense that ..... these methods are available to us through various scriptures.
Dakshinamurthy Samhita comes in handy here. Nyasa ..... method of invoking the elements of nature .... present in human body and getting them all in sync .... with a view to seek manifestation of the desired deity. Anna Subramaniam .... of Ramakrishna Mutt ... has explained these in good detail in the publication Japa Vidhanam .... wonder if copies of these are still available...... uploading a series of videos covering the same on YouTube. Consider myself blessed for having obtained Mantra Diksha from my Gurudev over four decades ago.

Just a point of interest ..... the middle 3 fingers namely the Index, Middle & the Ring finger ... are dear to Parameswari.
